The King of Diamonds

The King of Diamonds is a card that cuts straight to the heart.  It is a card that raises a question that many, many of us deal with on personal levels however, it also challenges us as groups of people: families, communities, societies.  The question at hand is this:  What lie are you living?  What lies are we living?

The King of Diamonds is in a predicament.  For quite some time now he has known that he is believing a lie yet the lie has served him well.  He has lived life and had a lot of success while believing and holding on to this (these) faulty perspective(s).  However, the lie is becoming increasingly more difficult to live and the juxtaposition between what he wants and what he knows is true is beginning to take it`s toll.  At some point the King of Diamonds is going to be forced into a decision and he will have to make peace with the outcomes.

Though there may be lies or faulty perspectives that are specific to each of us as individuals, there are many lies that are common to all of us as we move through the circle of life here on earth.  One of the most common and elusive lies is control.  Think on this idea of control.  Here are some questions to ponder:
Do we always need to be in control?
Is it even possible to be in control of anything?
If so, what is required of us to be in control?
And, what is the cost/benefit ratio of being in control?
Is there a benefit to not being in control?
What is your greatest fear about not being in control?

Thank you Divine/Universe for today's reminder: The King of Diamonds.
